Welcome to the CFL, Crezdon Butler.

The former Detroit Lions cornerback is playing this season for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Canadian Football League, but he made a rookie mistake Saturday night against Bryan Burnham of the British Columbia Lions.

Unlike the NFL, the goal post is in play in the end zone and Butler paid for it when he ran into the post while trying to cover Burnham.

A suddenly wide-open Burnham caught the touchdown pass in BC’s 30-15 victory. You can watch the video here.

Butler played two seasons with Detroit Lions, from 2015-16, appearing in nine games total. He’s played with eight different teams in seven NFL seasons.
