With Super Bowl LII in the books, the time is ripe for Las Vegas to look ahead to Super Bowl LIII.

Detroit Lions fans, don’t book that trip to Atlanta just yet. (Not that you needed us to tell you that.)

The Lions own 50/1 odds to reach Super Bowl LIII next February at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, according to VegasInsider.com, putting them well into the lower half of the NFL in terms of best bets to reach the big game.

The Lions’ Super Bowl drought appears likely to last at least another season.

Those odds match the likes of Washington, the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans. This season’s runners-up, the New England Patriots, are the favorties at 5/1, followed by the champion Philadelphia Eagles at 8/1.

The NFC North appears to be stacked, with the Green Bay Packers (10/1), and Minnesota Vikings (12/1) among the top five favorites.

The Lions' odds only get slightly better at Bovada, which gives Detroit 40/1 odds to win the Super Bowl. Like VegasInsider.com, Bovada has the Patriots as the favorites at 5/1.

The Lions finished 9-7 this season, and fired head coach Jim Caldwell. They’re expected to name Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia as his successor.
