Allen Park — The Detroit Lions got back some welcomed depth along the defensive line on Friday, activating defensive end Cornelius Washington on the non-football injury list.

Signed as a free agent from Chicago in 2017, Washington served as a regular part of Detroit's edge rushing rotation last season. In 15 games he recorded 24 tackles and 2.5 sacks.

The Lions activated defensive end Cornelius Washington from the non-football injury list Friday.

In addition to Washington's activation, the Lions made a swap at wide receiver, signing Dom Williams and waiving injured undrafted rookie Deontez Alexander.

Williams spent chunks of the past two offseasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the San Diego Chargers in 2016 out of Washington State.

As a senior at Washington State, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Williams recorded 75 receptions for 1,040 yards and 11 touchdowns.
