Allen Park — The only absence from the Detroit Lions' Wednesday practice was wide receiver Golden Tate, who was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles a day earlier.

The rest of the team was on the field for the first day of preparation for the team's weekend game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Defensive end Ziggy Ansah (shoulder), offensive tackle Taylor Decker (back), linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin (neck/toe), linebacker Christian Jones (knee), guard T.J. Lang (hip) and running back Theo Riddick (knee) were all limited during the session.

Riddick had missed the previous two weeks of practice, while Decker and Jones weren't able to finish last Sunday's game against the Seahawks. Reeves-Maybin also briefly exited that contest, before returning.

Ansah continues to be limited after injuring his shoulder in the first quarter of the season opener. Last season's team leader in sacks has missed six straight games.
