Red Wings fall 5-1 on road to Maple Leafs

The Red Wings lost 5-1 on Friday to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the team's next-to-last exhibition game.

The game was delayed approximately 25 minutes as the Red Wings were delayed flying out of Detroit because of weather.

Xavier Ouellet scored the lone Red Wings goal.

Dion Phaneuf had two Toronto goals, while Jake Gardiner, Brandon Kozun and James van Riemsdyk (power play) added one each.

Jonas Gustavsson stopped 31 shots for the Red Wings. Toronto goalie Jonathan Bernier made 20 saves.
