Instant analysis: Wings' Zetterberg again proves worth

The Detroit News

Ted Kulfan: This game appeared over and done.

But give Henrik Zetterberg credit for stepping up and showing some leadership again.

Coach Mike Babcock talked about it the other day. Zetterberg followed a bad performance last week with two outstanding games against Toronto.

Thursday, with all looking lost, Zetterberg cut the Pittsurgh lead late with a huge goal. He then assisted on Niklas Kronwall's tying goal in the waning seconds.

Stepping up and producing when the game matters most. Zetterberg is showing how much he was missed most of last season.

Gregg Krupa: Red Wings manage huge comeback, and overtime goal by Justin Abdelkader, to beat the Penguins. Uneven performance, until late, but the Red Wings come up big against an Eastern Conference opponent, again.
