The Joe Louis Arena ice is empty in the first period after the players were sent to their locker rooms.

Detroit – The Red Wings' game against Vancouver on Sunday lasted all of 29 seconds before a partial power outage darkened half the arena.

The teams skated and stayed loose briefly, before referees instructed both teams to head into the locker room.

The game resumed at 2:45 p.m. after a delay of about 35 minutes.
