Red Wings send Tangradi back to Grand Rapids

The Red Wings assigned left Eric Tangradi to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League, the team announced Wednesday.

It was a brief stay for Tangradi, who was recalled on Monday but didn’t see any time on the ice. Tangradi, 26, has 22 points in 24 games this season with the Griffins, scoring a team-leading 13 goals.

Tangradi has played in 143 NHL games with the Penguins, Jets, and Canadiens, collecting 15 points (five goals) and 86 penalty minutes.
