Outlook: Alex Galchenyuk scored at 3:37 of overtime and the NHL-leading Canadiens beat the Red Wings 2-1 on Saturday at Joe Louis Arena. Justin Abdelkader scored for Detroit (10-11-1), and Petr Mrazek made 22 saves. “I think we were terrible first period but it’s always tough when you get in late and turn around and play the next night when the other team’s sitting here waiting for you," Abdelkader said. . . . Vladimir Tarasenko scored at 3:24 of overtime to lift the Blues to a 4-3 victory over the Stars on Monday in St. Louis. Stars defenseman Jamie Oleksiak scored twice, including the tying goal with 50 seconds left in the third period. With Antti Niemi pulled for an extra skater, Oleksiak sent the puck at the net from the left point and it got past Blues goalie Jake Allen. Jamie Benn had the Stars’ other goal.
