Detroit – The Detroit Red Wings will make their debut at Little Caesars Arena on Saturday, Sept. 23 in a preseason game against the Boston Bruins.

The Red Wings released their exhibition schedule Thursday, and the first game is Sept. 19 in Boston.

The Red Wings have three consecutive games on the road to begin the exhibition season – Sept. 20 in Pittsburgh and Sept. 21 in Chicago, following the game in Boston.

They then drop the puck at the new Little Caesars Arena with the game against the Bruins, which will be followed by games against Pittsburgh (Sept. 25), Chicago (Sept. 28) and Toronto (Sept. 29), before the Red Wings conclude the exhibition season Sept. 30 in Toronto.

The Wings played their final game at Joe Louis Arena on April 9.

Tickets for all Red Wings exhibition games go on sale Aug. 4 and can be purchased at the Joe Louis Arena and Fox Theatre box offices, all Ticketmaster outlets (800) 745-3000, or online at

The Little Caesars Arena box office is scheduled to open in September.

The regular-season schedule is expected to be released later in June.
