Penguins put away Red Wings with two goals in third period

The Red Wings lost to the Penguins, 4-2, on Wednesday night in a preseason game in Pittsburgh.
Ryan Kuffner and Mike Green scored for the Wings, who were tied 2-2 after two periods after Green scored at 17:23 of the second period.
But Pittsburgh’s Dominik Simon and Sidney Crosby scored third-period goals for the Penguins.
Brandon Tanev and Bryan Rust (Troy) added Penguins goals.
BOX SCORE: Penguins 4, Red Wings 2
Goalie Jonathan Bernier stopped 27 shots for the Wings, who were outshot 31-29.
The Wings were 0-for-4 on the power play, the Penguins 0-for-5.
The Wings lost forward Jacob de la Rose to a lower body injury midway in the game.
