Lugnuts put out call seeking ‘Ushertainers’
The Lansing Lugnuts, the Single-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, is looking for up to eight characters to serve as ushers this season. And they mean characters.
The club, which plays in the Midwest League, is seeking to hire “Ushertainers,” people portraying “Fun Police,” “Crazy Gym Teachers,” “Nerds” and other zany folks during Friday and Saturday games at Cooley Law School Stadium. Those in character will lead fans in dance and songs such as “YMCA” and take part in other game-day promotions.
