The latest in The Detroit News' series of “15 Things You Don’t Know About Me” — Ethan Wiskur, an outfielder for the Westside Woolly Mammoths of the USPBL.

1. I was Ted Nugent’s cameraman for his TV show “Spirit of the Wild” on the Outdoor Channel.

2. I played baseball in Alaska for an entire summer for the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks.

3. I hit a walk-off grand slam home run while playing in Alaska.

4. I graduated from Hillsdale College with a degree in biochemistry.

5. I love hunting and fishing almost as much as I love baseball.

6. I come from a family of six children — three boys and three girls — being the second oldest in the family.

7. My favorite restaurant is a Mexican restaurant called Sagebrush Cantina, and I order chicken tenders.

8. I’m a big dog lover, especially big dogs! I want to have a chocolate Newfoundland someday.

9. I have never been outside the country except driving through Canada on a baseball trip to play in Cooperstown, N.Y., when I was 12 years old.

10. I used to be a huge NASCAR fan when I was a kid. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was my favorite driver because he drove an MLB paint-schemed car.

11. I have my picture up on the All-American wall at Hillsdale College.

12. I hit a baseball off the top of the fence in left center at Comerica Park back in high school ... so close!

13. The nickname my family calls me is Bobo.

14. I also was a football player at Hillsdale College for one season during my senior year.

15. My biggest dream in the world is to become a Major League Baseball player!

Ethan Wiskur, 23, is from Clio, Mich. He attended Flint Powers Catholic High School and Hillsdale College. He will participate in Saturday's All-Star Game and Home Run Derby at Jimmy John's Field.
