Apple Inc. sent out invitations to an event on March 9 in San Francisco, where it will unveil details for the introduction of the Apple Watch, a person familiar with the matter said.
“Spring forward,” reads the invitation to the event, to be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater at 10 a.m. The headline is a reference to Daylight Savings Time, which begins in the U.S. one day earlier, on March 8.
Apple first unveiled plans for a smartwatch in September. Last month, the Cupertino, California-based company said the connected wristwatch would be shipped in April.
