Forecasters say we'll have temperatures around freezing this weekend and can expect a warmer and wetter week ahead.

The weather service's forecast for Saturday calls for a high of 35 degrees and a low of 28. Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high of 40 degrees and low of 35. 

The service also predicts a chance of showers and thunderstorms and warm weather Monday and Tuesday. 

"We're expecting the beginning of the week to be wet, especially Tuesday with a warm front pushing through," said Alex Manion, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service's White Lake Township office.

Manion said possible snow showers Saturday evening may lead into the early morning hours of Sunday with some possible dusting on the roadways but will taper off Sunday morning. 

Five-day forecast: 

Friday: Scattering clouds with highs in the mid-30s with a low of 19 degrees heading into overnight. 

Saturday: Highs of 35 degrees with a low of 28. Light snow showers in the evening into early Sunday. 

Sunday: Morning weather in the upper 20s with a warm front pushing for a high of 40 degrees and low of 35. 

Monday: Chance of thunderstorms, small periods of rain throughout the day with a high of 55 degrees and low of 50. 

Tuesday: Cloudy with rain and thunderstorms and a high of 60 degrees, low of 34 degrees.
