Metro Detroit's weather for the weekend looks like it will be warmer with just a bit of rain possible, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday's forecast calls for temperatures to reach a high of about 49 degrees and a low of about 35 degrees. It also calls for light rain in the morning and ending in early afternoon.

"We've got some drizzle and fog in some areas this morning, but it'll dry out by afternoon," said Sara Pampreen, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in White Lake Township. "We're looking for a high somewhere around the lower 50s for the Detroit area. It'll be a little cooler on Saturday, but it'll still be nice."

Normal temperatures for February is about 35 degrees.

She said the weekend will be dry for the most part, but there is a chance of some showers Saturday south of Detroit. There could be some rain in Detroit late Saturday or early Sunday, she said.

"But we do dry out again the rest of the day Sunday, so it won't be a total wash," Pampreen said.
