Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Lenawee County

The National Weather Service on Thursday evening issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Lenawee County in southeast Michigan. 

A severe thunderstorm was located at 7 p.m. near Fayette, seven miles south of Hudson, moving east at 40 mph, the weather service said.

The warning was issued until 8 p.m. Meteorologists expect 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail. 

The thunderstorm will be near Morenci, Clayton, Adrian, Blissfield, Deerfield and Britton by 7:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service said those in the path of the storm should move to an interior room on the lowest floor of their home or business. Large hail, damaging winds and continuous cloud-to-ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
