The National Weather Service has issued gale warnings for most of the Great Lakes that is expected early Sunday through to  early Monday.

Wind and waves during the gale warning which is in effect from as early as 3 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m.. Monday. Maximum winds are expected around 7 p.m. Sunday. The largest significant waves will be 11 feet with a maximum wave height of up to 19 feet, according the the weather service.

A gale warning means winds of 39 mph to 54 mph are imminent or occurring, according to the weather service.
